Science & Math Applied Real-problem Teaching (SMART)

We explore the concept of effective teaching as studied by the SMART program. Our program includes four major components: museum-based learning, problem-based learning, math-science integration, and Physics First. Within this context, we define effective teaching, describe our methods for developing such teaching, and relate some challenges and initial results.
