Maine's Energy Future, Maine's Education Future

This project involves partners from central Maine schools, universities, and community organizations in enhancing middle school teachers’ understanding of energy. We have developed and taught a graduate level course at the University of Maine Farmington and have designed several summer professional development institutes for teachers. A focus of one of the institutes, which we have implemented throughout Maine, has been on using real-time graphing tools to monitor energy use. We have worked with partners around the state to develop a vision for energy literacy.
